This book is a cross between a first encyclopaedia of animals and a book of poetry. Its pages introduce a range of impressive animals. The text is written poetically - attempting through rhythm to present nature as the wondrous phenomenon that it is. What truly carries the book however are Petr Horáček’s careful artful illustrations.

It is an inspiring experience to just look through this book. Full of information and poetry, this makes for a ‘different, special’ book about animals.
