This is a fun and poetic book about the animals on a farm keeping the farmer awake at night with their calls. The drawings are interesting and have character.

This book is for beginners learning to read. It is approachable enough to be read aloud to a one year old, and a primary 1 child can read it themselves.

The book is part of the Story Chest Books series. This is a truly wonderful series of learning to read books. It is perhaps my favourite such series. Get more of these books if you can. They are worlds of art. However the series was published in the 80's and unfortunately it is difficult to find many of its books today.
