A sweet picture-story book about a little dog and his friends (other small animals of a forest). The dog first acts generously towards the other animals - and afterwards when he finds himself in need he receives kindness back from them. The (simple but good) storyline of this book is used as an opportunity to show various animal families and their homes. We see a family of cats; owls; and foxes.

The illustrations are gentle and lovely to look at. This book has a basic story about kindness bearing fruit - as well as an introduction to animal families and habitats. A nice and profitable book.
