A book that was truly written for children. A charming story about a kind and very intelligent doctor who cares for animals. He speaks the language of animals - the animals love him and a great variety of them gather around him. Together with his animal friends he lives a life of adventure that is perfect for children’s imagination.

It is not a serious book, though it is well written and has an air of gravity that I find shows respect of its young readers. The story has childlike simplicity and freedom, but it does not present this as silly or pointless (as some children’s books do that are attempting to be funny). This is a book that respects children and takes them on guileless fun adventures perfect for their size.

Every little person deserves to enjoy these stories!
