This picture story book has a purpose. It means to tell young children that personal relationships are more valuable that stuff. People are more valuable than things are.

An adult will find the story a bit obvious, but for the intended readers it works well. This is not a brilliant book, but its themes are deeply true and its moral is a beneficial one. Children find the story interesting. Additionally, the illustrations are sweet.

A nice book about getting your priorities right.
