This book uses the pattern of the well-known Christmas song: ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’, but the lyrics are changed to bring us images from the African Continent. Taking scenes from 12 African countries the books teaches its readers about how Christmas is celebrated in Africa. Each page has a part of the song and beautiful lively drawings illustrating it. There is also a paragraph on each ‘day’ that gives more information about the celebrations that we see. In this way the book can appeal to a range of ages.

A nice way to learn about African Christian Christmas celebrations.
