Another ‘extra special’ picture book introducing the alphabet. Each page is dedicated to a letter of the alphabet. The text is charming; and it is illustrated with scenes from the life of Alfie and his sister Annie Rose (fictional characters from the many books of Shirley Hughes).

This book is nice in itself but it will be particularly appreciated by children and their parents to enjoy reading Shirley Hughes other stories.
