I like all of Richard Scurry’s books. They are humorous and intelligent, written for children without becoming silly. This particular one introduces numbers and basic counting, showing the connections between single digit and double digits.

The book is pleasant to look through; the text is interesting; and it uses a well-structured method to teach numbers.
