A light-hearted story about an ‘olden days’ farmer who has adventure and danger thrust upon him by circumstance. The book shows that a little courage and a willingness to do what needs done can lead to great things. It is a simple story but written with all the quality and wit that we expect from the literary genius Tolkien. The illustrations are fun and they accompany the story nicely.

A good quality story about dragons, kings and courageous acts.
