This storybook won the Caldecott Medal which is given to exceptional American picture books. Indeed you feel like you are in America when you  read it. It captures the North American style of kindness nicely.

It is the story of a family of ducks who live in the parks of Boston. It is nicely written and beautiful illustrated. The drawings however are in black and white. They have their own charm so but perhaps it makes them a little dull for children.  I encouraged my children to colour them in, and the book is worth it.
