Even adults learn a lot by looking at the images and reading the texts. The hand-drawn images have enough detail to interest an adult, but I have seen many children happily colouring them in as best as they could. These colouring books are educational and beneficial for all ages. The images are lovely to look at. Colouring them takes you back to an idyllic time and place.
