I would almost call this a children’s book of artwork rather than a story book. The pictures in it are beautiful. Each is a little puzzle that invites the child to examine it closely. They are full of detail and happiness.

The text is clever, but it is more of an invitation to look at the artwork. The book is about a baby named Peddie Peeble’s and his family. We see scenes from their household and how these same scenes are different in winter and summer. They live in a wonderful rural home in a lovely place much like the Scottish islands. A lovely book about the beauty of everyday family life.
