This Usborne First Reading Book is designed to help early readers improve their literacy skills. The story is a retelling of a traditional Korean tale.

We do not get much Korean folklore in the English-speaking world. For the purpose of getting a flavour from that part of the world, this book is certainly a 'good-enough' book' with 'nothing wrong with it'. Children learning to read also benefit from having a variety of interesting stories to read and this is well-designed to be one of them.
