Perhaps Roald Dahl's most famous book, ad the reader will see why. The story is well written, the characters feel like they have something to teach you, and the ending will leave children wishing it had happened to them. Many of us have seen the film of this book, but as usual, the book is (subtly) better.
My favourite part of the book is the poem about television in the chapter about Mike Tease! An enjoyable story for young readers to read on their own or for a family to read aloud together.
