This book is one of the very many books in the Czech series about Krtk (little mole). He is perhaps the best known Czech character and his stories have marked the childhood of generations of children worldwide. All of the books featuring Krtk are worthwhile, however, most of them have not been translated to English unfortunately.

Some have however, and these are worth getting. They are treasures of world children's literature. I am sure that as you get to know the little mole you will see why he has been loved so much by so many.

In this particular book that we are blessed to have in English you follow little mole on his adventures as he tries over and over again to acquire his own car. The illustrations are spectacular and the storyline is education. Krtk himself is loveable. All around a very worthy book.
