A picture-story book written by Malala Yousafzai herself about her early life in Pakistan and her development into an international female-education activist. This autobiography for children is very well written. The reader enters Yousafzai’s world, lives her love for her people and understands the choices she made.

The illustrations are informative but gentle. Even though the story being illustrated is one of war and dire poverty, the images are not stressful for younger readers. A good way to learn about contemporary political questions. The book keeps to its theme - the education of girls. It does not try to overreach with a political agenda.

Nicely made.
