This is a clever ‘conceptual’ book. It needs to be read aloud to children by an adult. The book invites children to interact with in in an original manner. The purpose of this book in fact is that it is a ‘fun experience’.
The book looks as if it should be a picture book for toddlers, but actually the concept of it is lost on them. This book is appreciated by children old enough to wonder at it, but young enough to feel the magic of it. I would say that includes children between 3 and 7.
It is a modern, artsy-farty sort of children’s book that relies on originality to make it worthwhile, but it is fun enough.
