The concept of this book is so exciting, that I actually wish I had read it as a young person so that I could have experienced it with the amazement that it warrants! It is a story of a boy who ends up with a magical cupboard that can transform his plastic figures into actual tiny living persons.

I won’t ruin the book by summarising it for you. It is a story about friendship, cultural differences and history. It is also a story of amazing magical events. Children will be enthralled by the book. At the same time, they will learn something about the value of each person; about culture; about responsibility; and about hard work.

A very profitable book, well written, and with a few charming illustrations. I read this book aloud to children as young as 6, but it is written so that a 12 year old can read it on their own. The book is the first of a trilogy called the The Indian Trilogy. If you love it as much as I believe you will, then you can look forward to two more amazing books. An exciting book!
