This picture-story book is really an excuse to look at beautiful drawing by the talented Benedict Blathwayt. A train gets put into motion on its tracks without its driver, who then has to chase after the train and get back into it and get it under control. The storyline is one big chase where we pass delightful illustrations of a port city; various forms of transportation including trucks boats horses and helicopters; farmland and farm animals; and even castle ruins.

The value of this book is its sweet images full of interesting details visually offering children information about rural life and agricultural economics. It’s lovely. Blathwayt is a very able and pleasant illustrator and most of his books are worthwhile.
