This book is part of a series of books that introduce various countries. Going through several categories of information the book presents a picture of the Greek people; their culture; the country's geography; history; language and more.

Although the books are more than 15 years old, I find that it is beautiful and truthfully presents the Greece that I know and love. Unfortunately not all the books of the series are written to the same standard, though many of them are. These books are a wonderful way to introduce children to foreign countries and people. Whether you want to learn about other places or teach immigrant children more about the lands of their ancestors, these books are excellent. The information gathered in this book is varied but representative and gives readers a wholesome overview of Greece.

Younger children can look through the photograph and older children can benefit from the text.
