As the apt title suggests this picture teaches readers amazing facts about the way that various animals make their nests and live. Adults will learn from this fascinating book as much as the children. When we read this book with my boys I looked up some of the information to make sure it was true as it was so impressive. Still, the book is educational rather than ‘sensationalist’. I find many ‘animal fact books’ are too noisy and confusing. This book however is not overcrowded with images or facts, but it is full of interesting and ‘amazing’ information nonetheless.

Two large pages are dedicated to each creature, the text is short yet informative, and the hand-drawn illustrations are interesting to look at and successfully teach the content. This is a great book for kids who have shown an interest in animals. The emphasis is on animal homes.
