Sometimes real life can be so exciting and unique that it sounds even more incredible than fiction. The life of Minamoto Yoshitsune is such a life! It is so full of adventure, danger and unique events that it becomes truly larger than life.

This book is a true historical account of his life, and it will keep the reader involved throughout. Yoshitsune in one of Japan’s first (and its best known) Samurai. Through his tale we learn something about the military history of Japan; its folk history; we get a sense of its cultural concepts and traditions; its social structures. This book has it all. A historical account more gripping than a novel.

Well written, clear, interesting, with riveting characters and exciting illustrations.
