This colouring book is part of a wonderful series of colouring books produced by Dover Publications. Each page is dedicated to a family of animals who inhabit forests. Each picture is accompanied by informative text the teach much about the animals and their lifestyles. Even adults learn a lot by looking at the images and reading the texts.

The hand-drawn images have enough detail to interest an adult, but I have seen many children happily colouring them in as best as they could. These colouring books are educational and beneficial for all ages. The images are lovely to look at. Colouring them takes you deep into the heart of the forest and into the private lives of the creatures that live there.
